Hi great plugin! thanks for your work.
BUG REPORT:
1) need to strip the newlines out of the url (or rather the info added with url). Some addons create newlines for some reason. JTV is one, it seems to be with the ###PLOT### part. So you need some kind of /r/n delete when adding to playlist, otherwise it does not appear properly in your plugin..
example:
playlist entry from JTV addon:
###TITLE###= Nat Geo/BBC LMTV.US ###DATE###=2014-01-09 18:21:28###URL###=plugin://plugin.video.jtv.archives/?url=&mode=2&name=lmtv_us17&iconimage=http://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/lmtv_us17-profile_image-pRmOaNqPhuQO805-600x600.jpg###FANART###=http://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/lmtv_us17-profile_image-pRmOaNqPhuQO805-600x600.jpg###ISDIR###=False###THUMB###=http://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/lmtv_us17-profile_image-pRmOaNqPhuQO805-600x600.jpg###PLOT###=lmtv_us17
Channel Name: lmtv_us17
Timezone:
Subcategory: Documentary
Bitrate: 894
Language: English###GENRE###=###DIRECTOR###=###RATING###=###COUNTRY###=###TRAILER###=###CAST###=###STUDIO###=###WRITER###=###YEAR###=###RUNTIME###=0###PLAYLIST###=Video: test addons###END###
this doesn't work in your plugin. But when I remove the newlines, it works perfectly:
###TITLE###=? Nat Geo/BBC ? LMTV.US ?###DATE###=2014-01-09 18:21:28###URL###=plugin://plugin.video.jtv.archives/?url=&mode=2&name=lmtv_us17&iconimage=http://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/lmtv_us17-profile_image-pRmOaNqPhuQO805-600x600.jpg###FANART###=http://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/lmtv_us17-profile_image-pRmOaNqPhuQO805-600x600.jpg###ISDIR###=False###THUMB###=http://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/lmtv_us17-profile_image-pRmOaNqPhuQO805-600x600.jpg###PLOT###=lmtv_us17 Channel Name: lmtv_us17 Timezone: Subcategory: Documentary Bitrate: 894 Language:English###GENRE###=###DIRECTOR###=###RATING###=###COUNTRY###=###TRAILER###=###CAST###=###STUDIO###=###WRITER###=###YEAR###=###RUNTIME###=0###PLAYLIST###=Video: test addons###END###
As you can see, it seems to be the ###PLOT### part here, but I would remove all newlines as a precaution.
(edit) - also seems to add just /n alone (as opposed to /r/n) - so a /n delete
(edit2) this stream is offline right now - but use any from the JTV video addon
2) adding from 'now playing' often doesn't add the title on some streams - however if I add from selection before playing (highlighted in list) - it does add title.
here is the playlist entry if I add an url while in 'now playing'
###TITLE###=###DATE###=2014-01-09 20:00:36###URL###=rtmp://nyk.premiumcdnlive.com/edge playpath=z4cxm7zlfyqs65m live=1 timeout=15 swfUrl=http://player.ilive.to/player_ilive_2.swf pageUrl=http://www.ilive.to/embedplayer.php?width=640&height=480&channel=46209&autoplay=true token=87adjuljlsadkf87HD###FANART###=###ISDIR###=False###THUMB###=http://snapshots.ilive.to/snapshots/z4cxm7zlfyqs65m_snapshot.jpg###PLOT###=###GENRE###=Live###DIRECTOR###=###RATING###=###COUNTRY###=###TRAILER###=###CAST###=###STUDIO###=###WRITER###=###YEAR###=###RUNTIME###=00:13###PLAYLIST###=Video: test addons###END###
and here is the same stream, but I add url before playing. So it is the stream name highlighted in a list:
###TITLE###=AMC live stream - The Walking Dead###DATE###=2014-01-09 20:02:22###URL###=plugin://plugin.video.movie25/?url=http://www.ilive.to/view/46209/AMC__live_stream_-_The_Walking_Dead-live-stream-channel&mode=121&name=AMC live stream - The Walking Dead&iconimage=http://snapshots.ilive.to/snapshots/z4cxm7zlfyqs65m_snapshot.jpg&plot=Sorry description not available&fanart=D:\Users\Ja\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.movie25\fanart.jpg&genre=###FANART###=D:\Users\Ja\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.movie25\fanart.jpg###ISDIR###=False###THUMB###=http://snapshots.ilive.to/snapshots/z4cxm7zlfyqs65m_snapshot.jpg###PLOT###=Sorry description not available###GENRE###=###DIRECTOR###=###RATING###=###COUNTRY###=###TRAILER###=###CAST###=###STUDIO###=###WRITER###=###YEAR###=###RUNTIME###=###PLAYLIST###=Video: test addons###END###
as you can see, different entries, and one the 'now playing' playlist entry doesnt have a title.
cheers, good addon

1:
I updated from v 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 by manually exchanging the SimplePlaylists plugins folder.
I kept everything in my SP user data folder.
Now when I remove an item from my SimplePlaylists the SimplePlaylists.spl file gets messed up by removing all linebreaks. Everything is on line 1 so only the first item is listed.
I had to go back to v 1.1.1.
2: Old problems when using v 1.1.1:
I use SimplePlaylists all the time, it´s great but almost every time after adding an item I have to manually edit the SimplePlaylists.spl file, changing ###ISDIR###=True### to =False and many times also deleting line breaks so each item is kept on one single line.
What I miss most is to be able to manually set/override the ###ISDIR### setting when adding an item/bookmark to my SimplePlaylists. Then I wouldn´t have to edit the SimplePlaylists.spl file manually in a text editor.
I think it would be very difficult to make SP set the ###ISDIR### setting correct every time by itself because the things you can (and I do) put in the playlists are from so different sources, from files and folders on my hard drive to bookmarks pointing to lists, folders, items etc in many different online media plugins.
It´s so incredibly convenient that you with SP can group media by categories like action, comedy etc regardless of media source.
3:
Another request, although not as important, is to have the playlists sorted alphabetically instead of or as an alternative to sorted by date added.
Thanks again for your work and your great plugin. SP should come with XBMC as standard.
Kind regards,

Howdy. Tried this addon months ago, had some problems with it, gave up (found another way to do what I wanted) and forgot about the addon. Saw someone else's post that mentioned this addon and thought it would be useful for what I wanted to do now.
One question. How do I play the playlist I've created instead of opening it? When I click on the playlist from the addon or from my favs, the list opens and I have to choose the item to play. Is there a way to play the list automatically when opened?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You.

I guess this is pretty much worthless. Couldn't do half the stuff I wanted. Now no reply from the dev. Oh Well....

Yeah, if there was a 'play' option in the context menu and it generated a playlist it would be more useful. The way it functions now(with directories), is more like categories for addon sources.

Is it possible to add an option to only clear the "contents" of the playlist but not the playlist itself, i keep a playlist of "watch later" selection, when i`m done with it..i`d like to be able to keep that playlist for future selections without having to create a new "watch later" playlist every time.
Thx!

i manage to access my home network (where i have HDD with mp3 files arranged in subfolders), see it and play one by one.
i'm trying to launch the SimplePlaylist addon, but get "Script Failed" message...so i tried to reinstall this addon from various places.. same result.

Hello,
I have been looking everywhere in this forum to find a method of using this addon for my network images.
I have the images divided into folders by date, and would like to add a day of folders to create separate playlists. For example: adding folders 2000, 2002, 2003, & 2004 to one playlist, while adding 2005, 2006, 2007, & 2008 to another playlist.
How do I have this addon to do this?
Thank you,

Is there anyway you can add all the items currently displayed in a list to the playlist? Instead of going 1 by 1
