Fusion E350 Mythbuntu and optimization with XBMC
#1
Hi....

I installed XBMC on my HTPC with Mythbuntu(12.04) and have everything working great. I am trying to optimize it a bit and just make sure I have everything turned on (or off) that I need to make sure I get the best performance with the least amount of power

I was wondering if anyone has typical CPU usage numbers for the Zacate, E350 Fusion when running XBMC.

Also has anyone installed this on Mythbuntu and seen any issues or considerations such as the window manager causing problems? I used mythbuntu only because I was used to the window manager and it seemed light on resources.

Thanks in advance

I am using Lubuntu (12.04), Tvheadend and XBMC on my "ASRock E350M1/USB3".
I can watch FullHD Videos without any issues. Sound with optical SPDIF also works perfect.
Everything worked out of the box, I've only had to activate the AMD-Video-drivers and install manually the "xvba-va-driver" so XBMC was able to decode the Videos with the build-in-Videocard.
