I know currently there is no XBMC Android App for playing the content.

Question: Is there any plan to release XBMC Android App?

With Google now making tablet (Nexus), such app would be in really good.

Unfortunately it's not that simple. It also depends on hardware and for example Open GL support.
Android runs on a multitude of hardware. And there has been work done on porting to ES.

But don't try holding your breath until it gets made.
