Hi,
The syntax you describe (The Flash - 1x01 - Title) is what I use for my more recent series. And indeed it works
Older series I have, have been named as follows:
/Series name/Season number/SxExx title.extension
This works also. I have no naming scheme as you would prefer to have. If your desired scheme doesn't work I can only advise you to rename your episodes in either of the mentioned two syntax's. Filebot makes that very easy
It has nothing to do with your skin and there are no settings in ME AFAIK that allow you to change what it should be looking for, sorry.
