I just installed XBMCbuntu onto my old laptop and intend to plug it into the tv and use it as a media centre but I can't get the VGA output working.
I've had other versions of Linux but XBMCbuntu hasn't got as many settings as other distributions.

I am using an Acer Extensa 5220 laptop. I've tried using the function buttons to change the display but it doesn't do anything.

Anyone know of a solution? Thanks!

Same here................... i just installed SBMCbuntu on my old dell laptop, which is not recognizing VGA output.
