My H77 pro4-m has connections for cpu fan, 2 chassis fans and a "power fan"

I believe that is for connecting a PSU fan, for PSU's that have the respective lead to do so. Someone else can correct me if I am wrong.

I assumed that the power supply would control its own fan....

Most of the PSU's that I have seen do, but I guess there are some out there that come with a fan lead to connect to the motherboard. Seems like it may be a connection that is there for those random units, but will generally not be used by most users.
