Resolution and Scaling
#1
I am running XBMC 11.0 (no nightlys) with Aeon Nox 3.5 skin. It is running on a laptop with a Nvidia 9600M video card running Windows 7 Ultimate. Everything is running great but I get this weird issue. I am using the Nvidia Control Panel to adjust the resolution and scaling and then using the video calibration tool in XBMC to finish the scaling process. The home screen and menu look great but when I play back video it is over the edge of the screen. When I adjust the scaling to fit the video the home screen does not fill the screen but the menu bar does.

I am at a lose of how to proceed. I can attach screen shots if needed of both configurations.

Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide

I've heard of some bizarre things happening with Aeon Nox, but I'm not sure if this is one of them.

Try a different skin perhaps, it might cure it.

Nothing wrong with Aeon Nox.
It's just the version that is in passion-repo.

You probably have some weird video settings in xbmc or control panel

Thanks, I figured it wasn't Aeon Nox cause it runs perfectly on my other machine. I am going to tinker with the nvidia settings, the last driver update seems to have made some changes to how scaling and resolution works.
