Android XBMC with Diceplayer demo

Correct. How external players are launched is just crap. You exit XBMC and loose the XBMC experience.
On the other hand, on Android we would need help on our internal player. Looks like nobody with the skills is intrested to help.

I use the filemanager that came with Mele Android 4.0 to browse to my NAS via SMB and MX player plays the subtitles fine. Both internal as external are listed. Mizuu.tv is great, but not enough options for customisation.

Hi!,
I love the XBMC internal player, but I just needed to use a external player for the mele A1000 (my father uses it, and he doesn't notice the difference).

I followed the j1nx's blog and the Issues with the Allwinner privative components, and because of that I searched a fast way to use xbmc and a external player.
I understand the gimli's comment, but it is just a fast fix for the mele.

Now I'm looking the source code and I'm trying to understand how the internal player works, to help and improve it. But for now, the fatest way I find to use XBMC in a Mele A1000 was an external player.

@pracha2, I tested it in a Motorola Milestone 2 and a Motorola Atrix 2, and works well.

NOTE: I modified the AndroidManifest, for working as a Launcher and make it persistent, now when I turn on the Mele, automaticaly starts XBMC.

EDIT: @mrspin, I think you have the "pro" version installed. Did you try to use the "ad" version?

Hi inRivalz, I have tried both pro and the advert(free) one but same result. odd that this is working for other players. All I have done is install the patched XBMC and changed the playercorefactory.xml

Can you make a step by step guide for xbmc patched with mx player? I tried installing also the patched xbmc apk that you have and placed the playercorefactory.xml but the mx player won't open? i am trying it out on a g-box 2 android tv box? any thoughts? thanks.

I tested it and wrote about it on my blog, but like I thought; You need to pull some tricks to use your NAS as the supplier of your content.

(Still mixed feeling though)

mine now works - thanks again inRivalz for the patch and to original coders. great result and will help until we get native HW acceleration on our A10 devices.

Try it with local files first.
If it works with local files, you can try to get it to work somehow with your "MyBusVOD-PC". You probably end up, using software such as cifsmanager to mount the remote folders in a local folder to fool Android / MXPlayer.

Then you should check the logs to investigate why MXPlayer fails to start.

If I could, I would help, but I have no knowledge on the subject. But I did post a thread on the Raspberry forum asking for help:
