Linux Blank Screen after resuming from suspend, but not always
#1
I'm seeing an intermittent issue that maybe 1 in 5 times when I resume my system from sleep, I get a blank screen with just the mouse cursor. Nothing I have tried seems to bring back XBMC from this state. Luckily I have coded a button on my remote to kill and restart XBMC, so it isn't too big of an issue, but I'd still like to have an idea of why it is happening. I can't seem to reproduce any conditions that would cause this to happen either.

System Details:
Ubuntu 11.10 with stable Eden
Zotac NVidia GT520
Intel i3-2120
4GB RAM
90GB SSD for OS and programs
320 GB PVR drive (mythtv)
4TB NAS (bulk storage)

No debug log to upload yet, as if I remember correctly I have to set XBMC up to run under debug first, so I'll have to do that and just hope to catch the problem. but in the mean time, anyone seen this or have any ideas?

Just a SWAG, but try disabling the screensaver and screen dimming and see if this still happens upon resume from suspend.

Not a bad idea, I've got it set to dim screen. I shall change that and see what happens.
