No difference. It's not that the Info button/key isn't being recognised, it's just that once it is recognised it seems to have no function within Movies. The Info button/key functions are you would expect in Music and Pictures. It also functions normally while viewing a movie, just not while browsing the Movie library.

You'll have to post a sample of a file that exhibits the problem if you want it fixed.
Actually, my apologies, the r12753 posted on the last page by rbej does play the files fine, so I guess the patch hasn't been checked in yet?

But yeah, pretty much any XviD with Packed Bitstream has problems in b6 and r12755, like you said.

Packed bitstream: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/98681/packed.avi
No packed bitstream: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/98681/notpacked.avi

1. If I watch anything off of CBSNews the video image is not stretched
to the boarders of my TV. I've tried all the various modes (wide, normal, 4:3,
etc) and it seems to be centered using only half the screen (these are 720p
streams). AlJazeera seems to be fine.

In passing, RedBullTV which streams 1080p (are there others that do HD ?)
seems fine
The above is still happening with 2.95.6 (ie. latest beta release). Is this a
known issue ?

Regards.
That's an issue with the CBS news addon on other platforms as well, I would post in the addons section of the forum.
OpenElec Official Build r12778

http://www.mediafire.com/?rqqo38lgh1yml

i experienced problem with b6 of openelec (rduke on irc let me try a newer dev build and problem is still there).

With some old divx avi audio and video go out of sync as soon as file started, audio plays normally but video seem to go slowly (they go out of sync of a lot of seconds).

With openelec b4 i have no problem at all. (didnt try b5).

here is debug log
http://pastebin.com/GTpFF4uR
here mediainfo for the file
http://pastebin.com/gnrp5Uck
(an episode of The Practice series)
Just tried r12778 that rbej posted and my xvid files are playing in sync again, thanks to all who worked on that. Skipping within the file (arrow keys) no longer work on those files (they used to). Skipping still works in other video files.

Also, there seems to be a regression while playing audio. Playing the first file works fine, but advancing to the next fails. XBMC is not frozen as I can still control it with the remote, but it doesn't play the audio. I see a lot of these in the log file (might be connected?):
WARNING: CDVDMessageQueue(player):Tongueut MSGQ_NOT_INITIALIZED
FATAL: CDVDMessageQueue(player)::Get MSGQ_NOT_INITIALIZED
FATAL: Previous line repeats 150 times.

Anyone else seeing this, or did I b0rk something? Smile

Again, big thanks to everyone working on xbmc and OpenELEC!
OpenElec 3.0 RC1 is coming.

Build r12788.

- last Xmbc build (28.12.2012)

- last kernel Rpi 3.6.y (28.12.2012)

- last Rpi firmware (28.12.2012)

XVID playback stutters and stops. Used r12728 of openelec.

rduke tested the file also, same issue. XBiAN has no trouble with the file.

In XBIAN I can als do: omxplayer -o hdmi -r File.avi plays very well.

Can a developer look at it? Test file is available, just ask.

File:
XVID
688x384
25fps
Audio
48000 hz 448kb/s

Issue is solved in 12775.img! Thanks!!!
