I have here @myhome a WDGO connection, which means that I have IPTV with 1080i, 720p, 720i, SD and upscaled SD with no encryption
What I have seen is that when I start with a 1080i channel I have a black screen, sound is good, Teletext is good, Subtitle is good.
When I first switch to a SD channel and then to a 1080i, picture is there.
When I change the in the DVDDemuxFFmpeg.cpp at line 441 ( That's by me the line) the line to:
m_pFormatContext->max_analyze_duration = 2 * AV_TIME_BASE; //500000;
no problems anymore when changing channels.
So to me its looks like at is a problem with ffmpeg, if you want me to test some patches NP!

@skixbmc: lowering the max_analyse_duration for Live TV is indeed a workaround which seems to work. I'm already running a test build for several weeks with a lower analyse duration (1/10 of the normal value, only for Live TV). Up to now I haven't seen any side effects for my setup (both DVB-T and DVB-C).
Channel switch times are now 2-4 seconds. Initial tuning is 4 s on my setup. I have similar switching times in MediaPortal itself.

Hi there,
i try to get my XBMC's (on Macs 12.1 and Raspberry 12.0) to running with my MediaPortal TVServer (1.2.3.0). I use tvserverxbmc.dll (and unchanged gentle.config) 1.2.3.120.
On XBMC Side i use Mediaportal PVR Addon 1.6.8, with IP / Username / Password / TSReader / no RTSP options.
But everytime i use Live TV in XBMC the programms crashes (Macs) or reboots (Raspbmc).
Recordings works well, EPG and Shedules works too fine. But only LiveTV (mpeg2 - with License and h.264) makes problems.
Can you tell me which options i must set in TVServer and XBMC PVR Addons? Or how i can get it up and running?

@pleibling: Forget about the RPi for now. Many people have playback-reboot problems with the RPi with different PVR backends which are not related to the PVR addon but to the RPi player. See for example the TVHeadend thread on this: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=149748.
I don't have a RPi myself, so I won't provide any support there.
With respect to your Mac problem: I've no idea. Could you enable debug logging under settings and provide a xbmc.log file on http://xbmclogs.com/ and post the link here?
