Hi!
Two days ago I installed XBMCbuntu from xbmc.org's download section on my HP laptop, but I instantly encountered problems.
The problem I'm having is that if "cold-start" XBMC and start a 720p movie, everything freezes and I can't do nothing but hard-reset the computer. However, if I start a SD movie (480p), everything runs smooth. If I stop that movie and then start a 720p movie, it runs smooth as well. It's like XBMC/the computer has to warm up before playing a 720p movie...
I would really appreciate if anyone would like to help me fix this problem!
The specs of the computer are:
Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo @ 2.00 ghz
Nvidia GeForce 8400M
2GB RAM
Linux 3.0.0-26-generic #42 ubuntu
Here is the Crash log
I'm not an expert or anything, but I think that the ffmpeg codec is causing the problem..
Thanks in advance!
Jacob
Nevermind!
Right after posting I tried fix the problem myself, went into the settings and turned of the hardware acceleration and then it worked percfectly!
