Linux Cloning HDD from XBMCbuntu
#1
So I used GParted to clone my 30GB SSD to my new 64GB SSD. Everything seemed to go okay but obviously grub isn't working and the drive just boots to a flashing cursor. Do I still use a regular live CD to restore grub because I tried my vanilla XBMCbuntu CD and grub isn't even loaded on it. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is what I did from the command line on the drive booting XBMCbuntu:
Code:
dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=100M
/dev/sdb being your new drive.
Then the new drive booted flawlessly.
HTH.

I had already started over, I just saved my .xbmc folder. However now I have a new problem. My computer boots to a BusyBox 1.18.5 shell with a (initramfs) prompt. But if I have a GParted CD in the drive that I created with unetbootin and select "boot local os from hard drive" then XBMC loads with no issues.
