Linux [LIVE] - scanning for content...
#1
Hi,

I'm still running the last version of XBMC LIVE on my acer revo. It's a "stand alone" installation
meaning that the original OS (some variant of Linux) was wiped and LIVE installed directly to
HDD.

I've been using it fine for quite a while now, but have recently begun to experience some slightly
irritating problems. For example, if I add a new TV episode to my NAS drive(s) and then run update
library, XBMC will find the new episode, but then hang suggesting that it is still scanning. Prior to this
problem, it would scan, add then compress the database or whatever and I could then watch the episode
straight away... now I have to physically get up and reboot the revo before I can use it.

I have been contemplating upgrading to Eden, but seeing as my LIVE installation was working fine
decided against it.

There have been no hardware changes, and I have also ran the clean database option a couple of times
with no success.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
