Log (Sorry it's on 3): http://pastebin.com/9eZeueJv

Issue: On a fresh Windows 7 install with only AMD 12.11 drivers (same issue with 12.10) I'm getting no text from XBMC anywhere, but small white artifacts sometimes. Looked through the debug log and verified that all of the fonts installed correctly...at this point I'm at a complete loss and about to go back to XP SP3, just was having issues there with my Lenovo remote.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, if you need additional logs or screenprints let me know!

Thanks,
Dingo

Might it be an issue with the 1280x1024 resolution?

Some skins (and I don't know about Confluence) will not display correctly on ratios other than 16:9.

Sadly that doesn't seem to fix it, thought I had tried earlier, but here's another full log just in case it helps anyone.

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem with my XBMC since last night and the only thing that has changed on my machine is that I installed the new AMD 12.11 Beta drivers too. So it seems as if its a problem with the drivers.

I've been running on Catalyst 11.10 drivers for as long as I can remember. About 6 months ago, I also did a fresh install of Windows, along with CCC 12.?? drivers, and had issues - although at the times is was with HDMI EDID stuff.
While I'm not absolutely suggesting you rollback your Catalyst driver, it might be worth a try. The latest does not always equal the greatest.

Rolling back is an option but not a very good one imo. These newest drivers have fantastic performance increases for my card (7970) in a lot of games and at the moment that outweighs the bug with xbmc.

Reporting the same issue --- the new Catalyst 12.10 / 12.11beta drivers render all of the menus in XBMC as illegible dots. Unfortunately this is almost certainly a bug on AMD's side of things, as it's specific only to these new driver releases. To the original poster, there's no need to go all the way back to XP : the previous Catalyst drivers, both the 'official' 12.8 ones and the 'beta' 12.9 ones, work perfectly fine with XBMC.

I didn't take into account a gaming machine.... Yes newer drivers usually are aimed squarely at gaming performance.

Good advice.

I've got the same thing. Just installed it for the first time and I also installed the AMD Catalyst 12.11 beta...

Same problem here, I downloaded the beta 4 driver as well and it also has the same issue. It's a shame as these drivers have excellent performance in games.

Hello, I just upgraded my radeon drivers to the new 12.11 beta drivers (windows 7 64 bit), and now all of the text is corrupted. It seems to have A Black foreground in front of the text, though if i switch menu's sometimes the text appears and sometimes it does not -- I cam currently using the Confluence skin, though Aeon Flux and one other (couldn't read the name) both have the same problem.

I've been using XBMC for about 3 weeks, bloody awesome program. But today. for whatever reason this has happened.
I only thing i can think of was i installed the Latest ATi Radeon drviers (BETA drivers -AMD_Catalyst_12.11_Beta3_dotNET4) so i could play MoH;Warfighter.
Not sure if drivers could have caused this issue though?

I've uninstalled/reinstalled/restarted PC etc XBMC. Still no good.

Any help would be really appreciated.
Cheers!

EDIT: yep, it was the AMD Ati Radeon drivers causing this. Tried it on another install of windows.
