Win double subtitles

Thumbs Up
Hi,

Since a while, I'm expiriencing a strange issue with the subs in xbmc, sometimes they are displayed twice on the screen.
If you normally have 1 line of subs, it displays 2. Same with 2 lines. So sometimes I'm seeing 4 lines of subs on my screen.

I can't say when its gooing to do this, and it lasts for 3-4 lines of subs. This happens both in tvshows and in movies.
I'm using the subtitle plugin from xbmc and I download the subs from bierdopje and opensubtitles.

I'm using W7 with the nightly builds of XBMC
Skin is aeon nox, but confluence shows the same behaviour.
I also tried to completely remove XMBC (and the folder in users\appdata) but this did not solve the problem.

H/W is an asrock A75M with onboard sound & video, connected with HMDI to my Sharp Aquos TV.

I've tried to do some searching, but it looks like I'm the only one with this issue.

Anyone has an idea ?

No idea, I thought it would be a skin issue but then I read you tried default skin too.

Either way you should post a debug.log and some supporting screenshots.

I dont use xbmc + windows but Ill have a peek in Linux.

I'm using the nightly from last thursday (XBMCSetup-20121024-8885f2f-master.exe), from which I did a complete reinstall thinking it could be a user setting.

I've installed multiple nightly's lately guessing this might contain a fix.

The AMD drivers catalyst 12.10, but I had it also with the previous beta driver.

I'll make some screenshots and upload them as soon as I see this happening again.

I've installed the nightly from 28-10.

It all looked good for a while, I've run some movies & tvshow, but yesterday I saw this issue reappearing, whilst nothing has changed on my setup.
Unfortunately, I already disabled the debug logging (thought it was fixed) but I managed to get some screenshots (which I'll upload this evening).

I'll enabled the debug logging again and hope that the problem will popup with the dbl enabled.

I've paused the video right after the 2 screens where taken.

I still see the issue on OE and OSX ... not reproducible easily and no way to repro under xcode build Sad

Shall I file a bug report on this, or is this known ?

I'm having this issue almost every time I watch a tvshow, usually around the middle of an episode, and it lasts for 3-4 dialogues.

If still issue with latest nightlies, yes.

This is indeed not a Windows specific issue. I have the same problem on Frodo beta 3 on OpenElec (Xtreamer Ultra 2/ION build), at first I thought it may have been some setting in combination with one of the scripts that may have been causing the issue.

To rule any conflicts out I started with a clean .xbmc folder and used the stock theme but it still randomly triggers four duplicate subtitles before going back to normal.

Ps. Maybe move this thread to the general support section as this is not OS specific.
