Video Quality and Resolution Issue
#1
So I have kinda built a HTPC on the cheap and im thinking my specs may be an issue hereas I don't have a dedicated graphics card as it won't fit in my case. Im going for a super small HTPC thats silent.

32" Full HD LED LG Screen
Streacom F1c Case
Intel Atom Dual Core 1.66hz
4GB DDR2 800mhz RAM
ASUS AT5NM10-i Motherboard
Sony Slot Loading Blueray Drive
Graphics are onboard Intel 950

When I try and put XBMC into 1080p I bascially get a window that doesn't fill the whole screen its pretty rubbish. Now I was connecting with VGA but I believe VGA can go up to 1080p.

It will run with a lower res but obviously video quality is lower and I want to be able to play bluerays.

Have I made a hash and im using a not powerful enough cpu to play blueray/ 1080p

sounds like a setup issue with the tv/video settings

Welcome

That video is absolute minimum supported by xbmc and probably wont support 1080p playback video wise. Resolution ability != playback capability. http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Supported_hardware

Anyway read this http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...ight=intel

And good luck

Thanks for that, I will look at those thread. Looks really useful for me!

If I can get 720p I would be happy with that!
