[RELEASE] Finnish TV: YleAreena and Ruutu (Video) plugins
Just wondering, would it be possible to have plugins for various Finnish newspaper 'TV' services, like HSTV, ILTV, ISTV, etc. ?
I don't use them much, but I noticed from time to time they host some interesting events or program series.

Hi,

The add-on doesn't work any after the update to Krypton 14.4.
Is it only on my side or some others has the same problem?

Signs of early memory disorder. Yes you are correct, the version is 17.4.

So, I fixed the problem by putting "auto" in place of "1080p" for the resolution in the settings.

There is a bug that has carried over from since I started to use the plug-in: Playback fails often and requires a retry if subtitles are disabled for Finnish.

I made MTV Katsomo addon which can be download here https://github.com/Dis90/plugin.video.katsomo

What you need is:
- Kodi 17.4 or higher
- Inputstream-adaptive addon 2.0.4 or higher
- Libwidevine

Instructions how to install inputstream-adaptive and libwidevine is here https://github.com/asciidisco/plugin.vid...stallation

Currently addon is only tested on Mac OS and Ubuntu.

This is great news!

I tried your addon on Nvidia Shield and Windows 10, both running Kodi Leia. Logging in to the Katsomo service works on both platforms and the menus load fine.

On the Shield I experienced hangs when I tried to fast forward or skip forward in a video. Otherwise playback worked well.

On Windows I didn't have any problems with playback.

To get widewine on Windows you need to have Chrome or Chrome portable installed. Find widevinecdm.dll in Chrome installation directory and copy it to your userdata/cdm/ folder.
Kodi @ NVidia Shield Android TV, Asrock J3455-ITX (LibreELEC Server), Windows 10, and Nexus 7 (2013)

Currently I don't have time to do it and it looks like Ruutu doesn't even use .json in their site. So it's much more complex plugin to make.

Yeah cmore.fi uses katsomo api at least in login part. Currently I don't have cmore subscription but I have plans to make cmore.fi working if it doesn't mean complete rework of emilsvennesson's kodi-cmore plugin.
