quick heads up: zvbi obviously doesn't compile ootb on android. I've got it patched up to the point where it fails with undefined pthread_testcancel, which simply is not available in the NDK. Changing the code to not require this is not something I'll attempt.

did you try to configure that ENABLE_BKTR is not defined?

Sure, here it is: MythTV generated ATSC file with subtitles.
It shows 4 close caption tracks, but only first one is working for me in VLC.

Here is another one. 2.5 minutes of SD video with ATSC closed captions. Available for 30 days, but I will repost if necessary.

thx - enough samples i guess - thx (just fyi - i am not working on it - i just wanna ensure that the ones who do have the needed material - so keep those links up as long as possible if you can).

Was much more work than I originally thought because neither ffmpeg not zvbi were of any use.
Would be great if I had more samples to test.

there are various window styles, see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CEA-708#Pre...ndow_style
if you had a couple of short samples recorded from different channels, I could test those.
