Hi there!
I finally added the 2 missing speakers to complete a 5.1 system! I have been doing some tests and I noticed a strange behaviour with my audio channels.
If I bitsteam (AC3 and DTS) everything works as expected, but If I turn off bistream OR I play a 5.1 flac file, the audio channels are mixed up. Front L/R are fine, but for example, the rear left speaker was playing the center, the rear right was playing LFE, the center rear left and the lfe rear right (or something similar). I did a bit of search and came across a fixe using an asound.conf file, which seemed to work fine.
I confirmed the problem and the fix working using speaker-test.
However... why is that happening? Where is the problem? XBMC, audio drivers, openelec, alsa..?
If that helps, I'm using Openelec 2.0 on a ION330HT and a Sony TV and AVR.
Thanks for your help!
