Can't map services to channels
#1
Hello there! I installed TVH on my Synology DS1512+ NAS, and scanned dvb by locations, found 27 services. then i'm clicking the "Map dvb services to channels" The console displays "Service probe started on "HDHomeRun ATSC" but nothing else happen, and when I switch to the Channels tab. there is nothing at all. Any way to debug this??

I'm on HTS Tvheadend 3.1.694 from http://www.synocommunity.com/packages

Thanks!!

I have had this before. I cleared out all the config in the .hts folder, rebooted and run the scan again and it worked second time of asking.

where is this .hts folder exactly?

Normally in /home/hts/ or whatever user tvh runs under.

There is nothing like this Sad
All I can find is a file named config under /usr/local/tvheadend
and another file named config under /usr/local/tvheadend/var

in this foilder there is also these folders (accesscontrol, channels, dvbadapters, dvbmuxes, tvbtransports,dvr,epggrab,muxdumps..)

The second folder is the equivalent of .hts used on debian/ubuntu installations.

This contains all the configuration of your install. Removing this will 'reset' your install. May help/ may not..

Well, I just started over again last night.
Repackaged my HDHomerun spk.
uninstalled TVheadend
uninstalled HDHR3.
Rebooted the NAS
installed Tvheadend without starting it.
installed my HDHR3 spk
choose ATSC while installing it.
All the logs looked good after the install

Click Map DVB services to channels (it is still clickable after, I can click it 3829 times.. always just print "Service probe started" that is.
Tvhead console[/quote]
Code:
Log Level debug: enabled
Nov 24 10:42:15 web interface: Service probe started on "HDHomeRun ATSC"
Nov 24 10:42:17 dvb: "635,028 kHz" on adapter "HDHomeRun ATSC", status changed to OK
Nov 24 10:42:17 dvb: "/dev/dvb/adapter0" tuning to "629,028 kHz" (Autoscan)

Nov 24 10:42:22 dvb: "629,028 kHz" on adapter "HDHomeRun ATSC", status changed to No signal

Now, obviously still does not work.
Any ideas where I could debug this and why my services does not have names??
Is it normal I can't even start the channel when I click "Play" on the service tab?
It prints
Code:
Nov 24 10:48:45 subscription: "HTTP" direct subscription to adapter: "HDHomeRun ATSC", network: "", mux: "473,028 kHz", provider: "", service: "", quality: 100
And start vlc in the browser but nothing else happen.

Thanks for anyone who could help me. I'm willing to test anything you're asking me to debug this but I need this to WORK! Smile I've been working on this for a month, without tv lol

Something isn't right here as your services should have names. The channel mapper is unable to work as your service names are blank.

I am not familiar with the HomeRun, so cannot help you here. I would post on the TVH forum; https://www.lonelycoder.com/redmine/proj...end/boards
as you are more likely to get a response there.
Looks like you're not the only one. Might be an issue with the Synology build

Some people are reporting this issue with recent git compiles. Can you get an older copy of the Synology build?

I have been experiencing that same issue, except that I am running tvheadend on Arch Linux on a desktop with a WinTV HVR-2250 tuner card, so the issue is in tvheadend itself. I've run tvheadend for about a year, and this problem cropped up a couple of months ago, but TV's not important enough to me to worry about. Today I decided to try fixing it, so I used 'git bisect' to figure out exactly when the problem started. It turns out this commit was the culprit. On revisions before that, service naming and channel mapping work fine.

As it is, you can double-click in the channel name, where it says 'Unmapped'. and name your channels manually, and they will work, although it is a bit tedious.

This is in fact the same as tvheadend bug #1385, but I am posting here because I cannot register at the tvheadend forums due to this bug. So it would be great if you could forward this information there.

I do not have this NAS, but according to the FAQ you can build your own packages with the linked software. It looks like you'd need to modify cross/tvheadend/Makefile with the last working git revision (PKG_GIT_HASH), 78605b4, and possibly the contents of cross/tvheadend/digests.

I have the same problem. Muxes found 100% signal, services found (all), but without names (DVB-T, Poland, tuner: Zolid Mini DVB-T Stick, ITE 9135_Generic).

Same problem here too. ATSC, US, Verizon FiOS, HDHomeRun Prime.
