[need] HTPC that can play 1080p60, + Remote - shop in germany/austria!
#1
I am planing to switch to XBMC. Big Grin

Now I don't want to fiddle around with HTPC cases and such.

What I want is to buy a *ready to use* HTPC that:
- FANLESS design (don't care if PSU is inside out outside the case)
- HMDI out, which will be plugged into my Onkyo AV-Receiver
- LAN port (don't need inbuilt WLAN)
- all media is stored on the server, so does not need a large HDD/SDD inside the HTPC
- must be able to play 1080p60! videos
- must (technically) support True HD / DTS MA
- do not need 3d support
- (optional) BluRay drive
- a remote control

I have been looking for shops in germany/austria. But I can't find something that looks *promising* and I just have no clue where to start with this. Huh

Here are some choices- my-MediaCentre 3D Fanless HTPC....
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

Thanks!
But I'd need a shop that is located somewhere in german or austria. Don't want to import from UK in case the HTPC breaks down at some point.

If youre looking for a prebuild fanless HTPC, you might want to check out http://www.solo-entertainment.de - they offer a lot of builds based on streacom cases & Intel APUs.
Building yourself would be cheaper of course..

@krasv Thanks!

Looking for *as small as possible* , since that box wont have any media stored directly.

This one looks interesting -> http://www.solo-entertainment.de/PC-SYST...::636.html
It says that openelec is preinstalled. Could I also just install the ubuntu xbmc version available here?

Also i found that here -> http://www.cinestation.de/shop/product_i...en2585176n

Switching from openelec to ubuntu shouldnt be a problem, although you might want to give openelec a try (i'm a big fan).

The first system you picket will not support bitstreaming hd audio without changing the cpu, as it based on a sandy bridge i3-2120.
Bitstreaming hd audio under Linux requires either a nvidia card (roughly said ion2 or newer) or an ivy bridge Intel cpu.

To stick with the shop i mentioned a build like this should be fine: http://www.solo-entertainment.de/PC-SYST...::620.html as its based on an i3-3220 (ivy).
Your second build (cinestation) shouldnt have problems bitstreaming hd audio as its based on an ion2 chip, however an ivy bridge build has way more power.
For non 3d playback @1080x60 the cinestation should be fine - i still use a revo r3700 with roughly the same specs.

The new Habey BIS-6922

Might fit the bill, I have their ATOM 330-ION one - not sure of a German reseller.

Just tried to find reviews from users about the "Cinestation Ultra 3" - but I can't find any. Not even here in the XBMC forum.
