I pinged the packager of the ppa which provides the vnsi addon
The problem is that it is build without OpenGL in the dependencies. But OpenGL is required to render the OSD. It will be correct with our new build system. For now you would have to build the addon yourself

Oh fine, that could be the reason for my problem. If you talk about building the addon by myself, you mean the kodi-addon vnsi not the vdr-plugin? Am I right..?

wsnipex currently publishes new packages to https://launchpad.net/~team-xbmc/+archiv.../+packages

register this ppa and install the addon from there once is has built

So first I remove complete the kodi-pvr-vdr-vnsi from my actual system.
After it, I installed the vnsi-addon for kodi = 1.9.27-5trusty from https://launchpad.net/~team-xbmc/+archiv...mc-nightly.

But now I get the effect, that Kodi wants to start (I see the splash) but than crashes. The kodi.log isn´t helpful, to read why it runs out. Any idea?

Looks like this is not compatible with Kodi 14.x
You could try installing Kodi from this ppa as well but due to some pvr bugs in this version you won't have much fun. The safest way is compiling from source. https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr-addons/tree/helix

I've updated pvr addons along with kodi 14.1 in the stable ppa. This should fix the missing vdr gui for the stable releases as well.

I´ve installed the pvr-vdr-vnsi addon fresh for my helix system from the helix opdenkamp branch, but it doesn´t help. OSD isn´t show Sad after all.

So my last try, is to take it now from the stable ppa:team-xbmc/ppa, hope it works now.
