Tuning MySQL Frodo
#1
Hi all,

When enabling debug I still do not see all queries fired at MySQL. Is there another log option to get these?
Why do I want this:

Well I want to tune the MySQL for Frodo. I have one particular problem: When on the Genre screen in Music and choose a genre (in this Christmas with 300 songs (of 28000) ) it takes 3 to 5 minutes to start te first sons when pressing play while the genre is highlighted.

I see a lot of queries fires at MySQL for getting Album information. I do not understand why as it is only for starting a playlist. (With a genre as start)

Who can give me more pointers?

Vincent

Not really the answer I was looking for...
Still hoping that it will be resolved. This is not very encouraging.
And for playing all songs in a genre means clicking several times.

To play a genre you need to press PLAY once (if you have it keymapped).

To play inside a genre you need to press SELECT once then PLAY/SELECT once.

I'm tempted to rip out this insanity.

Exactly, but you do not want to wait several minutes to start playing in the first situation.
