I like the clean look in quartz but thought the look of the music playlist was a bit busy.
This in't a hack or anything, it's more of a simple explanation for noobs.
The method below allows you remove the "track time" and replace it with "artist name" so that music playlists look a lot neater.
go to the music settings in xbmc and find the section called "file lists".
change track name template to %T
and change the track name tamplate - right to %A
so it ends up looking a bit like this (except with better songs than my wifes playlist - not mine)
