Hi everyone,
I have just found this great application today and it seems to be doing everything I want.

But I set it up to my tv. So I have xbmc will startup on my sony tv but the remote wont work unless my pc cursor is on the tv screen. I have it on extended screens on pc.

ideally I want to leave the app running so when ever I want to watch some movies or listen to music I just select the hdmi input channel with my remote.

To control a program on a computer it needs to be on top / have focus. Like when you have internet and files open, only one of them can be controlled by your arrow keys or mouse at a time. Even with 2 screens, only one program can be on top...
Focus can also be lost if you click the desktop background on the computer screen that is not your tv.
