Audio trough hdmi and optical at the same time.
#1
Hi,

I am planning to exchange my Popcornhour c200 for a Zotac Nano AD12 with XBMC.
I really like this more.

But as I have an older receiver without HDMI I need to use optical SPDIF from the Nano AD12 and
hdmi to tv for 2-channel audio.

If I see the settings in XBMC I see an option for the audio, hdmi or SPDIF.
But is it possible to have the audio go trough bot at the same time?

With my current mediaplayer I have audio through TV AND via coax/optical to my receiver.
So if I want surround sound I simply set the volume on my TV to zero.
And my kids really don't mind 2-channel audio on the TV.

Thanks.

If I read your question correctly you don't yet have XBMC installed? Why not try a live version first and play with the settings that way:-

xbmcbuntu-11.0.iso
HTPC RPI3 Kodi 17 (Krypton) v8.0.1 MR
Storage BPI 1x 500GB SSD UPnP server
Display Sony Bravia 32"

Thanks for your answer. I already played a lot with XBMC. As XBMuntu most mostly on a Raspberry Pi.
But I don't have hardware to play with, which has HDMI and Optical Out. So that's why I asked.
