v14 Rescan movie quality (SD/HD)
#1
Hi.

Is there any easy way, to upgrade your movie info in Kodi 14.

I'm "upgrading" some movies from SD (dvd) or 720p to 1080p.

Right now, I manually find the movie, play the movie for 2-3 sec, then stop. And movie information is upgraded from SD/720p to 1080p.

But is there a more automatic way of doing this, without deleting movies, and rescan.
If I do that, then the movie will be marked as "unwatched" and displayed on home screen, as "newly added movies"

Best regards.

Are you using exactly the same filename for the HD version?

As you are actually replacing the files, the file is a 'new' file and will show up in Recently Added Movies.

Have a look at the Trakt addon, it saves your watched status to www.trakt.tv and can be used to restore it back down to your new files.

Yes, I'm overwriting the old file.

I have tried that, and that's what making the movie appear in Recently Added Movies.
Guess I'll just be doing it the manual way then. That works.
