Hi People..I am a Newbie so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

I have recently changed from TVMOBILI to XBMC...TVMobili worked ok but the interface was not very good.. I have installed XBMC exactly as described but it is not functioning via my BluRay Player.. I have installed it so my Blu ray downstairs see's the network so I can stream music and films from my PC to my living room...My Sony BDP S470 can see the network but fails to connect...I have checked all connections etc and everything appears to be ok..

Is there something silly which I am missing

I suspect a HDCP hardware handshaking problem between your Blu-Ray player and the rest. Make sure that standard videos and music without DRM function, then work your way into some of the Blu-Ray threads and see what others recommend. This appears to be more of a networking issue, than a failure of XBMC
