Whats the problem with the DTS-HD audio? Is it not playing?

You need to make sure you have the audio options set to DTS-HD in the system menu and also the audio output set to HDMI when the video is playing.

I have been working on the problem of XBMC losing its settings, it seems if you unplug the power cable XBMC will lose it's settings 9 times out of 10, along with the time on the ATV1200. I have to reboot it to get the NTP time working again.

Neil

I've already set in HDMI and also set the option of DTS-HD,but the video still can not play. Then, the video can play while I set the audio setting change into "Optical/Coax".
thx

Hi Guys,

Here is Geniatech Linux XBMC system alpha version for their dual core box(not compatible with dual core dongle, such as ATV120), if you are interest in Linux XBMC, update and tell your suggestion.

MX_BOX-Linux_XBMC20131205
For dual core box, such as ATV1200, ATV520, ATV400, ATV360,,,,

And, tested below:
1.Played 1080P video smoothly.
2.samba function works ok
3.Airplay function works ok
4.Remote control function works ok
5.Can download and install Add ons.
6.Support Geniatech IR and RF remote control

Known issues:
1. It can not enter into system sometimes, have to replug power adapter.
2. If you only has RF remote control without up/down/left/right button, have to connect a USB keyboard and press up/down/left/right button to enable option" Enable mouse and Touch Screen support" in system->system->Input devices first, then, RF remote control or USB mouse can work.
3.The power button on hardware has no function
4.Can not support RMVB videos
5.Some buttons on IR remote control can not work, such as Home, menu.
6.The screen is out of TV(on some TV),need adjust screen size in system setting by manual.
7.Only DIM can work in Screen protection setting, if select others, you will get black screen, have to restart the device.

If you want to revert to android 4.1, here has instrcution:

For dual core box: HowToRevertToBox4.1

Wouldn't think the os has anything to do with 1channel add on. It's a uk based issue that extends beyond the add on itself. So linux won't factor into it. Ie I have pia proxy running on 2 3 different android builds of xbmc and 1 channel working 100%

I tested the Linux XBMC build yesterday on a ATV520. I had to force it to connect to the lan connection. Do to this i had issue getting to the repositories. I did today get a couple loaded. I did try the xunity wizard but after installing it. it would lock on boot screen.

Loading the repositories i constantly had to force refresh/check for updates to the to them. I Tried 1Channel but could get the repository to load.

Its good that its out but still alot has to be done.

Hoping its not going to go from a soft brick to a "I am going to through it out the window brick"

Funny thing is the dam ATV3000 has been a little trooper when it comes to flashing things.
But mind you, I only stayed with Pivo's builds.. so what does that tell you.
Only good good can come of being supported by those chaps ;-)

Here's a sequence of events to others know what NOT TO DO...

A few more details on my ATV1200 leading up to being stuck on the "Green Android Man screen"

1: upgraded to android 4.1 to 4.2 demo version
2: Booted fine, system ok.
3: installed XBMC - Pivos version
4: installed Addons to XBMC - Watched some some short movies to see it working, a bit of music, then let it run the box over night to load in Media data from Synology NAS. (Which is a normal operation I do on upgrades)

5: Morning... the box was locked up, - so I shut it down.
6: Evening.. tried to reboot - boot in to "Green Android Man" screen

7: Tried re-set - no response
8: Tried to load MyGica upgrade.img via the re-set but no response - only boots to "Green Android Man"

So now me and the Green man get to stare at each other for a few more days until I know if it can be fixed..
You need to make a bootable SD card. http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic...p=23224991 Russian, sorry.

That could be what I need,
Geniatech has sent me a recovery.img and I tried last night but last it wouldn't do as per their instructions.
So I will give it another go tonight.

Hello. I just recieved my ATV1200.. It booted first time and now it stoped working. I think it is bricked or something. Only shows a red light and no signal. Tried reset and everything.

I can for my life not find what I need to make a bootable SD CARD and the recovery.img.. Can you please link me to what I need? Sad Smile

Thanks alot man! This is what I needed to see. So you had to use that cable to fix it? And do you think that method can work with windows 8 or 7?

Also im kinda unsure what kable is needed. What do you think of this one? https://www.m.nu/usb-to-ttl-serial-cable...p-636.html

Or any of theese? http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss...s232%20ttl
