Party Mode Not Playing from Entire Music Library
#1
I rooted around to see if this had come up before and I am having the same issue noted in this thread:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...party+mode

Basically, my music library is ~78,000 and when I try Party Mode, I only get my party mode playlist to play music from artists that start with the letters 'A' through 'D' (essentially).

It would be cool to be able to play 'everything' in shuffle mode, but I have not yet found an easy way to do this: I guess my next stab will be to create a normal playlist of all songs and try playing that in party mode?? Not sure, but I think the issue referenced in the thread above is still present in Frodo

See https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/2046

And yes, in the meantime, using <order> random in a smartplaylist will do the trick, though it means having to queue all your songs all the time.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Thanks for the reply Jonathan. As I am still wrapping my head around XBMC setups and my systems etc., I am assuming the link you cited is a a work-in-progress for the issue I am having?

I guess I should wait for an update? I was contemplating retagging some of my larger genres into more sub-sets, but if this is being worked on, then I would rather wait.

Thanks again!!
