Hey All,
I have version 11 currently installed on my PC with XBMCbuntu. I want to try out the RC3 of v12 so i attempted to follow the directions listed on this wiki page:
XBMCbuntu Upgrade v12
But when i did that, it finished, i rebooted the media center, and nothing was different (build number under system info is still v11 from march 2012).
Does anyone have any suggestions? Would it be worth just doing a system backup and installing RC3 from an ISO? Its not like i have all that many settings to re-configure...
I would ideally like to be able to upgrade from one release to another without a fork life upgrade each time, so getting the process does down prior to the final release (then upgrade) would be beneficial. Thank you.
