Hi m3eny,
I also tried to setup Live TV to VU+Solo 2 , VTI Image 5.0.1: No Luck with NFS on Win 8 Pro.
I just got the Solo2 1 week ago, I´m totally noob.( so someone pls. clarify/straighten my thoughts
1st problem was: I run VU+ Plugin "Openwebif" at http port 80 and https port 443.
but you need Plugin "Webinterface" for XBMC to work.
Webinterface is set to run http-80 and on port https-443 by default, so it won't start, because of Openwebif already using these ports.
Reconfigure Webinterface to use port http-81, and disable port https-443. then reboot Vu+
Reconfigure XBMC Live-TV Plugin to use port 81 under Advanced - Webinterface port.
Connection worked then!. but no channels ...
2nd Problem: Could not get channel list via NFS:// ....
After 1/2 day trying I switched to CIFS shares, because SMB/CIFS is also enabled out of the box.
it took me 5 minutes to get it work on CIFS
In VTI Panel - VTI SysteamTools -Use Network Browser to create CIFS shares for /media/hdd and picon
I think you need a user AND a password to get it work with win 8.
I still have the user root with no/empty password as by default on the VU+ , and I think that is confusing windows 8 security model.
By setting a password for user "root" in CIFS Share via network manager XBMC connected fine, I also have the picons ( channel Logos).
I have been Testing XBMC Live TV with VU+ for 2hrs , nice, rocking, very satisfying. Thank you TEAM!!!!!
btw: Setting a password for root in the network manager does not change password for console root, So I`m fine with that.
