libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds
(2013-03-23, 11:53)Koying Wrote: Ok, finally got the Odroid U2.

At first sight, using the stock ICS build, everything seems ok. Has someone still noticed issues? Can someone confirm it's ok on JB, too?

Koying, the libstagefright build runs great on the U2 on CM10.1. I just submitted a bug though for the keymap issues I'm having. Hopefully you can look into this; it's the only thing really holding me back from buying more for the rest of my TVs in the house.
I recently bought my second U2.
I have experienced similar key map issues, but making CM10.1 boot straight into XBMC and using Yatse on my phone makes everything okay.
I've already made a PR for a keymap issue. Don't know if it's the same...
a 12.1 hw accelerated rls would be appreciated! thnx
Good afternoon,
I have made a small clip of the film I referenced at the top of page 45.
I don't have the time set up correctly on my U2, sorry. I rebooted then used a terminal to capture the catlog. The capture was stopped a few seconds after xbmc crashed back to android. XBMC tried to load the file, but never made it far enough to show the time of the video. Again on all of my dvd's, using the same settings in Handbrake work perfectly on PC, ATV2 and Pivos, but this one crashes only on Android HW acceleration.

Current test device:
HardKernel Odroid-U2 on 4.1.1 (odroidu2-eng 4.1.1 JRO03S eng.codewalker.20130319.145730 test-keys)
XBMC xbmc-20130219-32e99c7-android-hwaccel-armeabi-v7a

Tried xbmc-20130219-32e99c7-android-hwaccel-armeabi-v7a.apk on a Nexus 4 with CM10.1 and Franco Kernel, a 720p mkv movie worked perfectly! Big thanks
Ouya has just started shipping their boxes.
Can you confirm me that it is the build to test with Ouya?

Hi guys, I love your work. I've been using XBMC on windows box and now on an android stick, MK808II.
The 20130219 build works fantastically except it crashes every 15min into the film. I've tried several different video files and they all happens the same way. I've attached the log for you guys have a look.

Am new here, got a Minix Geo X5, installed Frodo 12.1, Stuttered and lipsink problems. Tried this Libstagefright build, and works great streaming the video addons now, no stuttering, and Lipsink problems appear so far fixed.

Trouble is the Weather needs options to change settings to metric units. We don't use F, inches and MPH over this side of the world.

Have not figured out how to get XMBC to stream my music or videos from my PC to my Minix, this to me is a mystery and don't know how it's done.

I am from Christchurch, New Zealand.

So love what you guys have done, the Minix is now almost perfect. have the odd crash, but it's the Minix Hardware I think, and not XBMC's problem.

When you add a video source, look for a SMB shares.
If you are sharing folders on your PC, it should pick these up.
As stated in http://minixforums.com/threads/android-4...atus.1260/ the new firmware version for the minix (android 4.2.2) will have
"2.) FFMPEG video decoder beta, in long term it works better than libstagefright".
Will it help to get xbmc for android hw accelerated?

@denodan, I use this libstagefright build and and streamed media and smb files are working as expected.
could we please have a 12.1 version? thnx
I've built Gotham Alpha 2 with the libstagefright PR.
Available at http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/andr...bi-v7a.apk

To reply to those asking for it, there is no plan to have a 12.1 + libstagefright apk.

Excellent!
I'm having a look now.

Thank you

edit: only issue I can see is that I can't resume videos, or skip forward/backwards.
Apart from that, it's flawless.

Just tested your new apk with my new Minix Neo X5: All files over SMB worked, some 1080p have stuttering.
Will do more testing tomorrow ...
