Now, it probably will be difficult to incorporate in master, as that would leave all devices not having kitkat behind...
Hehe... Too easy Wink
It should even be mergeable to master

Hi everyone.

I am looking this feature sooooooooo long. This thread almost a year! There still no a good way to hide the annoying nav-bar when play video with XBMC.

So I decided to add it myself. If you are using Android 4.4, you are lucky, I think I found a perfect way to solve this.

You can see the previews on my pull request https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/3937

Thanks, but a PR already exist: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/3712
Just pondering whether it is a good idea, as it enables fullscreen for the whole application, not only when playing vids.

I'd say to go for it. Right now I switch to full screen before starting xbmc, and as long as you have a touch screen skin, there is no need for the navigation bar.

Can someone explain for us non-coders - what does that exsited PR means? Is fullscreen mode gonna be implemented in nearest release or what?
