I have my system working great except i cant figure out how to configure the channel infomation for los angeles so i can get the live-tv plugin working. What setting do i need to change or update?

Run wscan, it will create the channels.conf for you:

For vdr >= 1.7.28 make sure you have set StandardCompliance parameter (setup.conf) to 1 for ATSC countries.
