I just received my CEC adaptor. I run XBMC for OS X. The adaptor is recognized but it's saying I need to update my firmware.
Pulse-Eight support only knew how to do this for Windows. I have a netbook that runs Ubuntu 12.04. Does anyone know how to update the firmware using Ubuntu? Using OS X isn't possible. Only linux and windows.

I did that already and it didn't work. Couldn't find the file...
It also doesn't say what their ppa is. I googled it and added one that I found.

Quote:On Ubuntu, you can download and run install-xbmc.sh . Then open a terminal window, and type “sudo cec-firmware-upgrade”

install-xbmc.sh isn't there anymore. Anyone know how to update firmware to v7 on Ubuntu?
