I'm creating a skin for the Raspberry Pi based off of Confluence, and all of the changing info on the System Info screen makes the CPU go crazy high. Is there any way to make those only update every 5 seconds or something like that so it won't spike the CPU?
I was thinking using a silent alarm or something, but I'm not sure how to do it.
Thanks!

I think 5 seconds is little too long, but we definitely could add some time interval. In addition we do some silly things like updating gpu vendor label each frame (like it could change, heh). That being said I don't think this will change anytime soon as this has really low priority.
