I use Files View and for my movies i used to have a fanart.jpg in each genre folder.. i've since deleted these as they slowed things down a bit.. but the buggers still show up..

Any idea how to get rid of them?

you could search the Userdata Thumbnails folder. (view mode = thumbnails or slideshow) It would be in there somewhere. Not ideal, but would work if a library update didn't fix it.

Clear out Textures13.db. You'll find there'll be items in the path table that match the paths you're browsing. These then give you the URL of your old images, which is then in the textures table pointing to the cached versions.

Just removing the items from the path table should do the trick.
