[iPhone 5] Lightning-HDMI Max Resolution
#1
First of all, thanks XBMC team for all your hard work!

I just bought a the Lightning Digital AV Adapter to get HDMI output from my iPhone 5. After switching to Full Display #2 under settings which gets rid of the black bars from display mirroring, the max resolution is 1600x900p. Will full 1080p support be added to the iPhone. I saw that someone running a nightly build of iOS XBMC with an iPad 3 was able to get full 1080p. Thanks in advance!

its there already. Can you switch to other resolutions? The resolution list just shows what the ios device tells us. debug log (wiki) would show all possible resolutions between your iphone5 and the used tv.

Sorry for not posting the log first, here's the link to it:

I am able to switch resolutions in both display modes. In display 1, it's just between the native iPhone 5 display modes of landscape and vertical. In display 2, it's starts at 640x480 and goes up to 1600x900 with a few in between. I'm on an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.

Screwed up with the logs, here's one generated while I had the iPhone connected via the lightning cable to HDMI

I've now tried several builds including the one up in the XBMC Cydia repo, a nightly from 2 days ago, the latest nightly, as well as this one of yours from a while back (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1231215).

All of them have display 2 resolution options from 640x480 to 1600x900. Obviously I'd love to have full 1080p, but 1. almost no other player has ac3 support and dts passthrough and 2. XBMC is the only player I can get to do true fullscreen without black bars because it actually turns off overscan compensation. My normal XBMC setups include 2 custom built desktops and a mac mini so having Frodo on my phone just blows my mind. Keep up the amazing work and if you do find a possible fix for me, I'll test it out!

Just look into the log - it lists all possible resolutions with your setup. There is nothing i can do about it - i only can switch to resolutions ios tells me are available. In yoir case its not more the 1600x900. This has to be fixed by apple (ios update) or maybe your tv firmware.
