Just wanted to post a thank you to all who worked on getting this out on Android. The install was exactly the same as for my Linux boxes. Shared MySQL library. Local Thumbnails copied from Linux Machine with Textures13.db, Shared media via SMB shares from my 8TB NAS.

Works like a dream with default settings, exactly like the other clients using Ubuntu, XBMCbuntu, ATV2'a and WIndows. Plays all my movies (MP4,MKV,VOB) and TV programs plus Youtube(4.4.1b) etc.
