[NFS] Can't play certain videos
#1
Dear all,

A subset of videos won't play on XBMC. They are all avi's or mkv's, while others with exactly same codec settings seem to play. The log extract for one such instance is attached (I am running XBMC on raspberry PI, and files reside on a Synology Disk Station, shared through NFS). Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Please post the full debug log in the future, as often the start up information that contains settings info and hardware info is important for troubleshooting. However, this case seem to be an issue with NFS file sharing settings.

Thank you for the tip. Do you have any suggestions? My permissions 'seem' to be configured fined. I have set up the Synology to share via NFS, exactly as described on: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=NFS#Synology. All files within the folder in question are chmodded to 777. My /etc/exports file reads:

/volume2/Video *(ro,async,no_wdelay,no_root_squash,insecure,anonuid=0,anongid=0)

Any ideas?

Some additional info to maybe help diagnose:

Pastebin of full log file is here: http://pastebin.com/Yk6VvEgJ

The error is found throughout the file.

My NFS-fu isn't very strong, so I added "[NFS]" to the thread title to attract people who know more about NFS.

i have exactly the same issue. I have tried both xbian and raspbmc, both new builds and with the last files i moved into folders they can't be accessed from the library. If i browse to the NFS share, i can see the file listed, however i can't access it. It simple does nothing.

This has only happened today for me though. Has anyone had an success in resolving this issue?

All sorted, was a permission issue on the NAS. Had remove and add the permissions on the folder. It was just random how it affected the files i had recently moved to the folder.
