Got an error whereby it's not letting me update my library/scan for new content.

The error occurred when I updated to v12 of XBMC (I think). Since then I have re-jailbroken the aTV and reinstalled XBMC from scratch (I had to do this as it stopped me logging into it via SSH, which I think was due to some bug somewhere). And still won't let me update the library. It will very briefly come up before 'Compressing database' then disappears, I can however manually update items if I go into the files/path/item and hit 'information', just won't complete via a scan.

I have tried something I found via google, something to do with changing permissions in var/mobile/xbmc but nothing it helping the situation.

I hope this is enough information to go on, I am happy to provide more if needed. I'm sure (hoping) this is just a common error.

But really don't understand why it's not working. It can see the folders, and can access them just fine. As I can view and update elements individually within file view, and also play the files once added to the library. So it's just the library update part that's not working. I've spent ages searching and cannot find anything specific to this issue. Please help.

Ok I've played around all day, and have managed to change the file protocol to SMB. It seems to be adding library now. Will edit if it works, then guessing it just stopped liking SFTP for some reason.
