I have the change you made and my movie boxart covers display correctly, but I get nothing for tvshows. If I change the tvshow text to the same thing (videoplayer.cover) then all I get is the episode art. Any help?
That's because Player.Art(poster) isn't available for episodes. You could use Player.Art(tvshowthumb) maybe.
Im currently getting the episode thumb, but I would prefer the series poster. I tried your suggestion with no luck. Just for clarification, I have been modifying the line currently labeled "player.art(tvshow.poster)". I have it as follows.
<control type="image" id="507">
<texture>$INFO[videoplayer.cover]</texture>
<posx>1040</posx>
<posy>420</posy>
<width max="200">auto</width>
<height max="300">auto</height>
<aspectratio>scale</aspectratio>
</control>
<control type="image" id="508">
<texture>$INFO[player.art(tvshow.poster)]</texture>
<posx>1040</posx>
<posy>420</posy>
<width max="200">auto</width>
<height max="300">auto</height>
<aspectratio>scale</aspectratio>
</control>

After doing this TV shows showed up correctly. Then I changed the infolabel for movies as Lunatixz instructed and all works as expected.
I tried this suggestion but it didn't change anything for me. Well, I lost all my channel logos but Im sure that's because I would need to go back in and set the correct path since the parent folder name changed. Its interesting that this fix worked for you but not for me. I feel like I must be doing something wrong or have something configured wrong.
