Steam BPM will not work in the Kodi session as it appears Steam BPM (and wmctrl too, which the addon uses to detect whether Steam is in BPM) needs a window manager to run properly, plus by default the addon kills Kodi which causes the session, therefore Kodi, to restart - it needs to be run from a desktop session, either Lubuntu or Openbox, both of which are included in KODIbuntu. You can try running Steam BPM in the Kodi session via SSH to see for yourself the problems it has with the following command:

Hey, I was wondering if it'd be possible to add a widget that shows random/latest games in our Steam library? Kinda like we have for movies.

I like that idea but realistically theres alot of hoops to jump through - skin support for the widgets and the code to retrieve that info from steam via its api (if steam exposes that info)

Hi there,

might someone help me with that ?

I get steam bpm to start on my Kodibuntu 14. but it is not in full screen,actually it is in a small window which i can not control at all.

Any Suggestions ?

If i disable the check for wmctrl option
Kodi crashes completely and is not controllable (ignores keyboard input) until i reboot it

Theres no window manager running which causes problems with steam bpm. Theres more info regarding this in the first post.

Isnt there a way to stream Steam from my Windows PC to my Kodi system, like REMOTR does on android and/or Sony does with PS remote play Huh

I find it so mind boggling that no one with the coding talent never though of implementing something like this yet.

It's called moonlight, had already been done, has nothing to do with Steam Launcher and the coding talent(s) are already working to bring it to the retroplayer branch of Kodi.

Hi i am using Kodi 17 (Windows store) and when i try to launch the steam app i get an error that says the kodi location is wrong. Can anyone tell me where i can find the Windows 10 store kodi.exe or a work arround?

Not sure about Kodi but other uwp apps (Forza, Halo) use a command along he lines of shell:forza......
That won't work with the add-on, you'll need to create a batch file to run that command and point the add-on to that.
Best to start a new thread in windows support section to find out the command to launch uwp Kodi.
