Hi everyone... I am curious about something...
Would it be possible to install cinnamon and nemo to replace xbmcbuntu desktop?
I know I could install mint with xbmc on top but I want the desktop to come second to xbmc...
Also would it be too much trouble? Like addons and things not working?

yes, but don't run xbmc from cinnamon, it does not work.

I use Mint 13 on my laptop and the wsnipex ppa. Cinnamon is running. AMD 6600 GPU. fglrx driver.
XBMC starts and works, although there are odd things from time to time including
* hang on exit (and unable to alt-tab to another open window - need to ctrl-alt-f1 and killall xbmc.bin)
* audio sometimes doesn't work
* volume control not working.
However when it does work it seems fine. What are the normal problems associated with cinnamon, because I am not sure if the problems I describe above are related to cinnamon or something else.
