Suspend and wake at specific time
#1
Hello

Running XBMCbuntu on Asrock ION 330 and wonder if there is any way to have the system Suspend and Wake at specific times? For exemple if I'd wanted to have the system be put to suspend at ´midnight and then wake up at 17:00?

I've been playing around with the bios on the computer but can't really figure it out.

on most newer bios, you can set a wake up time. for the shutdown time, you may need to do a cron script.

i think there is a thread floating around here, or on the openelec forums that checks if your playing something, then shuts down your htpc at a specific time.

There was also a thread on here about waking htpc to scan library and go back to sleep. there should be some good info in there.
