Late Subtitles with new update
#1
ever since the new update came out, subtitles are slightly late. They can be about half a second to a full second off. Very annoying.

I went back to shows that worked perfectly and now they are late too.

Offsetting the subs helps somewhat, but its not perfect.

Anyone else seeing this?

I believe the "new buffering" patch (https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/2249) fixes this.

Subs seem to be working fine for me here. I'm running a completely stock/virgin Frodo (i.e. no addons). Using MySQL and accessing my library over the network (Windows SMB). All my subs are embedded in the mkv file.

I have subs on all my movies (wife is not a native english speaker so she needs them). After ripping the movie I test the mkv on my server pc using media player classic. So my subs are working fine in XBMC and MPC. Never needed to adjust timings in XBMC... and I would have noticed a half second timing error.

Hi, I'm still seeing the subtitle delay. I've tried the Raspberry PI build from 15.3.2013, unfortunately I can't say which git version this is (the log says "12.0 Git:Unknown).

Also (maybe related) the karaoke effects are not displayed properly, it skips a bunch of effects, shows one, skips another bunch.

MPEG2 VOB files exhibit the subtitle delay as well in the latest builds (also on RPi).
