I recently upgraded to Frodo from Eden using the following commands via SSH

sudo apt-get install python-software-properties pkg-config
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get xbmc

(I did not do a clean install as I'm not too familiar with Linux and was waiting for an XBMCBuntu install of Frodo...)

I am now getting a blue login screen every time I turn on my box, which gives me the option to login to XBMC, XBMCBuntu or OpenBox. When I log into my XBMC install it works fine, but I don't get an option to automatically log in.

Is there a way to get rid of this and get it straight into XBMC?

Just login into XBMC and dont logout, exit or otherwise login to any other user and lightdm will remember last user and auto login into that. Just shutdown machine and when you restart next time voila, XBMC.
