Hi, I am unsure whether your issue is resolved yet or not but I recently had a similar issue with audio playback on a Samsung tv when switching between tv's (both Samsung). Sound was great on the smaller test tv but would not work on the 50", after checking every input setting at least six times I exited xbmc while connected to the 50" and discovers that the speaker output in windows 7 had turned itself to mute. Having clicked it back on there were no more issues. Hope it may be of use to you.

No I never resolved the issue with this TV and have sound coming out of a stereo amp instead. I am on Linux however.
